Diary of a chapuller

Today is 90th anniversary of Republic Day for Turkey.  As you know, AKP government forbitted celebrations for national holidays in stadiums. So, people celebrated in streets and squares. And today government try to restrain organizations and use tear gas in Taksim. This situation should be really silly for 'normal people' who live in Turkey.  How could it be possible to forbit something about your national value?

About 250 acedemician from Bosphorus University made statement for METU. ' At 18th of October, friday night; Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's crew entered METU forest for raping trees. We think, its unacceptable and we condemn certainly. If you intruded university campus at midnight for cutting more than 3000 trees, also without notice  that would be extrajudicial and nonethical act. And also while this prject hasn't accepted yet.'

Prime minister Erdogan made a statement about the main reason of pretests(METU, Gezi Park and 3rd Bridge). About tree massacre. ' Road is the civilization. But noncivilized people dont understand that value of the civilization. If we know; this road will sweep the mosque, we will demolish the mosque to built a road.'

METU(Middle East Technical University) Massacre; is a attack to city, people and life. 18 Oct.  Friday night (religious holiday); there was a massacre in Ankara by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality with tens of trucks, heavy equipments and attendants. They killed more than 3000 trees from late night till  early morning. Today at about 13:00, Yeldegirmeni Solidarity made  forum with 40 students from Amsterdam Scoll of Art. But police raided with 10 police car to Yeldegirmeni Solidarity's Street House. I wonder why police raid with 10 police car also with no reason. I think they really afraid of us. Anyway forum delayed at 18:00.
