Barış Atay Detained For "Redhack Connection”

While police detained artist Barış Atay and 7 individuals for their “connection with Redhack” in Istanbul, the toll exceeded 10 along with other detainees across Turkey. Suspects have been ordered to make a statement in Cybercrime Police Headquarters in Ankara.  “8 detainees have been transferred to Cybercrime Police Headquarters in Istanbul, advocate Efkan Bolaç told bianet.  “I was able to meet with Atay after his detention. He is doing fine. But he has no idea why he was detained. He said he had nothing to do with this,” Bolaç continued.  Advocate Sera Kedigil, on the other hand, said that Atay was charged with blocking the access of information technologies. “He objected to the detention order. The charges, however, are not related to an illegal organization,” she said.  The investigation is supervised by Mehmet Ali Ethemoğlu, chief prosecutor at Ankara Bureau of Cybercrime Investigation. #Turkey "A criminal court in western province of Manisa's Turgutlu district has sentenced five people to a  total of 11  years and 20 days in prison for allegedly insulting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip #Erdoğan  during a protest demo  condemning the #Roboski massacre in which Turkish warplanes killed 34 civilians  mostly children, in the village of  Roboski, in Şırnak's Uludere district on 28 December 2011.  The court  ruled  the sentence following a hearing, rejecting the  lawyers' demand in the scope of freedom of expression  according to a report by DIHA (Dicle News Agency).The five  citizens are accused of chanting the slogan  “factious Erdoğan”." ' Female-male students shouldn't stay together in the same flat.'

Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan used this sentence when he talked about 'education problem'. He told; '' This problem (situation) conflicts with Conservative Democrat's mantality. Female and male students must not live/stay together in the same student hostels or flats. Some of student flats' neighbours denounced their trouble about this situation to the security forces and governor. So, we have to control the flats as a gouvernment. Some newspapers, journalist or people wrote something about this, whatever they want to write.. In the world, nothing to explain this educational problem. Nobody says it helped to educational prolificacy. And we took absolutely part in this situation. In some city, male and female students live together because of student flats's deficiency.
